Detailed Description:
This authentic hand-etched turtle Acoma pottery has both quality and style. The process starts with a black pot, to which the design is carefully etched, creating the white areas. A turtle then emerges and turquoise highlights are added. This turtle design is then duplicated on the opposite side of the pot.

Stamp on pottery base: Acoma, N.M. and L.A. Concho

Legend has it that the turtle carries the North American Continent on its back, and it is named "Turtle Island".
